Word Alchemy: Ascension
The quiet rise into alignment
As I’ve been immersing myself in the practice of creating my life through the words I choose to think and speak, I have noticed some monumental shifts taking hold. It’s funny, because as much as I wholeheartedly believe in Word Alchemy, it still caught me a little off guard by how deeply and completely my words have begun reframing my life in ways I didn’t anticipate.
In fact, something very unexpected has been unfolding all along…
Focusing on simplicity allowed me to direct my attention to releasing and letting go of all that no longer contributes to my life—physical and mental clutter—anchors, really. And as I released all of those “weights,” space was created in my life and within me—space that remained even when everything around me felt frantic and busy.
Then, this naturally led me into flow—more ease, alignment, and momentum—a feeling of moving with life instead of against it.
In the past, I’ve consciously chosen the Word Alchemy words I wanted to focus on. But this time, Ascension felt different. It was as if the word chose me.
As I created space and learned to flow with life, somewhere along the way, I began to rise. To ascend into a new version of myself.
Ascension wasn’t something I was consciously chasing or trying to achieve. It happened as a result of letting go of what I’m not… and moving in alignment with what I am.
I know the word Ascension can sound lofty—like something distant, unreachable, or even mystical—or like rising above this human experience.
But maybe ascension isn’t something separate, spiritualized, or about escaping this life—but about learning how to meet it with more presence, more truth, and more awareness. Maybe it’s what’s happening every time we choose growth over staying the same—every time we release, realign, and move forward.
Perhaps personal growth, in its truest form, becomes ascension in action.
Ascension is about revealing who we truly are and embodying our highest potential. It’s becoming lighter, clearer, more aligned… and naturally rising as a result.
It’s becoming my best self—my authentic self—and stepping into my fullest, truest expression.
And I do that every time I:
• Deepen awareness
• Shed conditioning and limiting beliefs
• Release old layers
• Create alignment and congruence
• Embody higher potential
• Rise beyond limitation.
Every step creates expansion within (and without), and each step forward in growth begins to build upon the previous one. It’s like the concept of compounding interest—earning interest on interest—causing an investment to grow exponentially rather than linearly.
Personal growth is also like that. Even though, at first, it may not seem like a lot is happening, you trust that things are changing and alchemizing within, and you keep doing the work. And then one day, all of a sudden, you feel how much progress has been made—you feel how different you are in how you respond to and move through life. You feel lighter. You realize you are that new identity. You feel yourself rising into this expansive, elevated version of yourself. Your true self.
And from that place, you begin to choose differently.
You choose awareness over autopilot.
You choose presence over reactivity.
You choose to elevate your thoughts, choices, and energy—one small step at a time.
You choose to let go of old, habitual identities.
You choose to embody who you truly are.
You realize that awareness, alignment, expansion, liberation, and ascension have been unfolding simultaneously.
You understand it’s not about reaching some level of unattainable perfection—it’s about coming home to yourself and simply being YOU—beyond all of the conditioning, fears, limiting beliefs, or anything that caused you to hide or mask parts of yourself or dim your light.
Ascension is filled with excitement and possibility because it’s about embracing all of this and rising into the fullest expression of your authentic self.
It’s building your life from that place—embracing all that you’re capable of, even when it feels difficult or scary.
Maybe ascension isn’t a destination—but a quiet remembering of who you are beneath it all.
And perhaps the real ascent is the gentle return to yourself.
Not higher. Not farther. Just deeper into truth.
Freer. Lighter. You.
I choose empowerment.
I choose expansion.
I choose ascension.
I choose to step into the highest version of myself.
And maybe the question isn’t what you need to become—but what you’re ready to release.
What you’re ready to remember.
What you’re ready to step into.
Because ascension isn’t about rising above your life…
It’s about rising into it.
It begins the moment you choose.
With love,
Gina
